No, it doesn't. I'm motivated past the point of intelligent response on a great many things, myself. There are some things, once proposed, that I'd rather hit someone with a brick on account of.

If I was aware of the stupidity of my response I wouldn't respond. I'm never aware of my own stupidity though hence why I never STFU 
Well, I'm aware of my stupidity in hindsight.
If you're motivated past the point of intelligent response... and you're aware of it... don't respond 
It just never happens with me apart from in hindsight
