Before starting, we need to define God. Usually, God is defined as an omnipotent, omniscient, immortal being. But the most important of characterstics is: DIVINE.

Divinity is an ABSTRACT concept, which also means to trascend the universe, and be above everything. There is nothing on Earth, or the universe, which can be called "divine". What is divine is up to you. Any object can be divine, but its physical and inherent properties do not change. Now, if there is a being somewhere in the universe, which the characteristics I mentioned earlier, except for divine, since I already explained why, it would not be a being who trascends the universe, but rather an incredibly powerful creature, which we could study with out scientific tools, and maybe, eventually, we could become "gods" ourselves. Also, as a finale, traits such as omnipotent are invented and given by men, who are infinitely inferior to your concept of God. If God was real, traits such as those would be pointless and trivial. It would have characteristics we could not even imagine.

The best way to determine that there is no god is to look at all the material evidence for a god. There is none.

If your aim is to create a logical and/or philosophical argument, the best bet is to put the meaninglessness of god on display. Due to the fact that there is no direct evidence, and any claims of physical evidence will be put to the test and fail, 'god' will never amount to anything more than a vague concept which describes a non-entity.
