That's an interesting comment. People see demonstrations against America in the middle east. Then they're asked to accept refugees from the middle east, on the assumption that they'll stop hating us if we treat them well.

Similarly, when you guys say that there's just no getting through to xenophobes, you're indirectly supporting the position that there's no getting through to people in the middle east that already hate us.

Who thinks that accepting refugees will make haters stop hating?  That's not the point of accepting refugees.  You accept refugees so that people will stop dying.  Clear that up for you? Consider how that worked for Hillary. If she had said something like With terrorist attacks here and in Europe it's understandable that people are scared, so we need to work with them to understand the actual magnitude of the risk involved, instead of basket of deplorables, she might have won.
