So my mother gave me this stupid old evangelical book, "Abundant Living" and I have no idea why, we really don't talk about religion that much anymore, and I haven't really told her I'm atheist. I really just told her something that I was a while ago, and that was a weak theist. Anyways, she gave me this, and she said that it had some great arguments for the existence of (a) God in here. I had already realized it was going to be bad, but I looked through it. Truth be told, it was shit. Same old arguments. My question is, how can I tell her the arguments are bad without her getting suspicious of me? Thanks in advance.

Stupid Book 'Abundant Living'

Don't. Tell her you lost the book. Better yet, a Catholic bully stole it from you!
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
Is there any reason you need to tell her that the arguments are bad?
It seems that if you're worried about giving off atheist vibes, you best just steer clear of that.

I don't know your situation but religion is not worth ruining family relations. If you live with your parents your strategy might be different than if you are on your own.
