Atheists are quick to point out the Bible is evil because in their mind it condones slavery and genocide, yet are totally ok with celebrating genocidal slave owners themselves...

Actually, this atheist thinks religion needs to stay out of government and that's why I was glad to see the display. We don't need to normalize or accept religious displays on government property. I don't agree with everything the founding fathers stood for either but we don't need to throw the Bill of Rights baby out with the bathwater.

That same display was put up in Texas in the past, and former governer rick perry personally had it taken down after 2 days, proclaiming it to not be a sincere expression of religious belief.
