When you talk about Muslims committing crimes that are simply committed by others, you miss the total point. We're talking about crimes which are highly motivated by religious factors attributed to Islam. So to speak about your autocracy and real ignorance, you failed miserably to understand that you're a fool in the first place. You use the diplomacy of groups and generality and here we're talking specifically about islamification. Not all Muslims are demons, but Islam is a problematic religion in this century just like any other religions that used to be bad, but certainly not as bad as Islam today. Christians do commit crimes just like any other individuals, but they don't commit their crimes shouting "Jesus Akbar!" Everyone could commit a crime, but the definition of a crime is vague and related to the social order.

There's nothing problematic about a religion, the problem is how its followers decide to interpret it. And the truth is that there are literally billions of Muslims out there who interpret it in a peaceful way, while you're obsessing over the 1% that interpret it in an extreme way. They may have numbers, but if you watched what happened when radicalized Muslims tried to take violent action against non-Muslim nations (aka September 11), the end result was heavily against them.  We pretty much overthrew the government they had in Afghanistan because of that attack and their leadership are pretty much gone.  I don't see them being an especially big threat, in all honesty.  I think the only real worry is fanatics picking us to death, piece by piece, with small scale attacks; the kind we really aren't paying too much attention to (but we'll pay a lot of attention to them when/if they hurt or even threaten wealthy or powerful people).  

In reality, I think a "takeover" by moderate Muslims is possible and it wouldn't be entirely a bad thing.  A stable democracy, with freedom of religion and freedom of speech, with a largely secular government, valuing education (especially scientific and/or business education) over dogma, where the majority of the population just happens to be Muslim.... other than having difficulty finding bacon in grocery stores, I don't see how this would be all that different for me from what we have now.

No.  What's happening now is just "growing pains".  They will acclimate, as they have in the past.  It will just take time.  Nothing kills magical beliefs like a good education.  And nothing makes a suppressed people, in this case women, yearn for equality more than seeing other people with equality.  There will be a few who will try to cling to their own ways in violation of the new laws they are expected to follow (rape your wife, cut her nose off, honor kill your daughter) and the prison systems will deal with them, removing them from the mix.  The group will soften over time.  A generation or two.  You can't pick a Muslim woman out in a crowd if her family has been in America a couple generations or so.  No hijab, cleavage showing, legs showing, educated, speaking out for women's rights...  The world just needs time to absorb the primitives.  The sooner it happens, the sooner hardline Islam dies just has hardline Christianity did.

Indeed there is no "real" Islam because the whole thing is made up. Anything made up can be interpreted how you like. Its why religions always tally with the prejudices of the "believers", how many Christians really like gays but force themselves to hate because the bible says so! The bible excuses their behaviour it does not drive it.
