Is this where we have to explain that brain chemistry exists and alterations to it can have serious effects on how someone perceives things?
I've tripped on ketamine (my surgeons used to use it as part of general anesthesia in the late 80s/early 90s). That shit will make you experience bizarre things you're convinced are real. And with my imagination, I concocted some incredible situations. But, they're not real. I fail to see how NDEs and the trauma involved are any different than any other events that temporarily alter brain chemistry.
