Heh. I grew up in Parkville - Not too far from the county/city line. I can assure you, I still have friends who live in Baltimore and they all say things have only gotten worse and not better. I cannot possibly see what changes they are going to implement that will get them to regain the public trust - especially after what happened back in 2015 around this time. The people of Baltimore are not going to forget that easily.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus Police say they're investigating after a video was posted online showing an officer kicking a man in the head while he was on the ground being handcuffed. The officer, identified as Zachary Rosen, has been reassigned to non-patrol duty indefinitely, according to a Columbus Police spokeswoman.

Columbus Police confirmed Rosen was also involved in the shooting death of Henry Green in 2016. Rosen and another officer were cleared in the shooting at the end of March, when a grand jury declined to press charges.

I'm sure the cop lovers will insist that this was just "fine police work."

Here's one. The overbook a flight. Doctor refuses to get off because he's got business to attend to. Security comes and bashes his head against the armrest, and drags him out. Apparently they let him back on afterwards, and the CEO gives a non-apology. I hope he sues them big time.

Just one minor point.  They did NOT overbook the flight.  They sold it out and then decided that they needed to reclaim 4 seats so they could move some flight crew members around.  IOW, they threw off the paying passengers for their own ease.

Just to add another layer of douche to this shit sandwich. They're willing to go through this PR scandal, rather than tell one of their employees they have to find another way to get where the company wants them to go.

Okay - so here we go.

The original story is back many pages in this thread but what happened is that a cop deliberately shot a man who was sitting down with an autistic man who was holding a toy truck.  The cop's "excuse" was that he was not trying to shoot the man but rather the autistic man with the toy truck because he thought he was a threat.  This happened last July.  It took the fucking cops 9 months to figure out that a crime had been committed?  How come it never takes that long when they are beating the shit out of a handcuffed suspect and charge him with "resisting?"

Perhaps the cops are full of shit?  Seems likely.
