A state appeals court ruled on Thursday that misconduct records involving the New York City police officer who put Eric Garner in a fatal chokehold in 2014 should remain sealed, saying threats to the officer mandated secrecy under the law.

( And would not be surprised if that did happen the response would be "Well those fleeing persons were resisting being killed so the officers had  no choice but to hunt them down and kill them"

Well, not exactly legally.  The problem is that the courts have allowed cops to get away with the bullshit that all they have to say is "I was afraid for my life" and that makes any crime they commit "legal."  It's a little tougher to pull that off when they pump ten bullets into some guys back while he is running away so for that they rely on racist juries and prosecutors who don't really want to see their cop buddies in the slammer.

That's why you get some pig mouthing that lame statement when it turns out the guy he just blew away was holding a fucking donut.

So I suppose the cops think they did nothing wrong despite the fact that a mother and child are now dead and four others injured, including her other child, all because they didn't take her seriously.

Bet it was a bunch of white cops.

About three hours later, around 6:30 a.m., Cashe emptied the magazine of an assault-style rifle, investigators said. Herring, who was shot seven times, died at the scene. Her 8-year-old son, Branden, was critically wounded; he died Tuesday. Police said four other people were also shot — Herring's father and 7-year-old son, who were critically wounded, and two bystanders.

Well how else are we supposed to react when one person murders another? I bet if I murdered a cop because I feared for my life, they'd be on me like white on rice. But people in power play by different rules, mostly by buying off every group that's meant to keep them in check.
