Everyone is different, and for some it's a credible news source, for others it's a scientific journal etc. Again you need to realize we are talking about corruption, and they tend to not publish hidden information they don't want people to know.

Evidence stands up to scrutiny and supports a specific conclusion, that is, it isn't equally 'evidence' for a thing and the opposite of that thing. For instance, absence of evidence for something can't be evidence for that thing.
