Speaking of strange coincidences, another zombie related death. A stunt man for TWD series died a few days ago while filming a stunt that went wrong onset.

They could be killed by driving stakes through their hearts. Since Romero zombies are cannibals and mindless.

He wondered what it would be like to be the lone survivor of a worldwide epidemic that wiped out and then resurrected the rest of the human race as vampires. When I was kid I remember going to a neighborhood theatre with my Grandmother and watching "The Last Man On Earth", with Vincent Price. That was the first movie based on Matheson's novel, and still worth watching. I Am Legend became the forerunner to future movies that featured worldwide epidemics which turned people to flesh eating zombies being fought off by small groups of survivors. "Omega Man" with Charlton Heston was another adaptation of "I Am Legend". Will Smith starred in the most recent adaptation bearing the novel's title.(July 17, 2017 at 8:40 am)A Theist Wrote: Actually, it was Richard Matheson's 1954

The alternate ending to Smith's I am Legend was pretty cool.
Shame about Romero. The original Night of the Living Dead has an eerie dead quiet to it. No other zombie movie has matched that. Slave to the Patriarchy no more
I would have much preferred him turn Land of the Dead into a trilogy instead of that crappy found footage one and that Hatfield/McCoy thing. Just one of my reasons I'd want to explore the multiverse and see what might have been...
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?

Even though Romero made some good zombie movies afterward none came close to NOTLD. Two of my other favorites he did were the more recent remakes of Dawn Of The Dead with Ving Rhames and The Crazies with Timothy Olyphant.
