If evidence for god is in abundance, why is faith necessary?

RE: If evidence for god is in abundance, why is faith necessary?
I just don't see what the point is of being such a fucking wishy-washy cafeteria-style bet-hedger of any faith. I already am incapable of respecting how crazy that shit is, but the fact that they don't even have the courage of their own convictions is just laughably pathetic. But they want to be considered to be the ones who are taking the high ground over the fundamentalists? Fuck both of 'em.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?

Why do you assume we have an opinion about how xtians carry out their alleged biblical orders (my bolded).  I like people who are well mannered, interesting and forthcoming.  Christians who are likable as people are fine by me.  The pushy, dishonest ones can all go to hell, yourself included.

Because the atheist here have said many times that a good Christian is one who doesn't bothers others with their beliefs.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Yeah, perish the thought, that people with peens keep it in their pants and refrain from shoving them in others faces.  This is why christianity can;t make -you- a better person, if it could make anyone a better person; you're fundamentally immune to common human decency. That takes a back seat, for you, to threatening randos with hellfire for whatever you don't like about them......like a totally normal person. You know, "jesus" bullshitted at length about "crimes of the heart" - and far be it from me to tell an obvious biblical expert like yourself what;s what...but, fantasizing about the fat burning off the bodies of others just -might- make you a filthy sinner.

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I found you need the faith to simply ask and then follow where God leads.

Again, really.

Know I know you are a fraud.

My mustard see was rejected by your God.

Although there are biblical verses which reflect how theists should attempt to save the souls of non-believers, there are equally important biblical verses informing theists to keep their faith to themselves.

Good point.  Aren't they also cautioned not to make a show of their faith .. something about not making it so obvious when they are praying?

A related question:

If evidence for god is in abundance, why is it necessary for Christianity to suffer yet another schism ??

IOW, why have so many denominations 'done it wrong' and done it wrong to such a spectacular degree so as to inspire a segment of their flock to spin off and start their own denomination ??
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

You sad, pathetic fucking cunt. Yes, they have been defeated, you worthless blind jackass. They're self-refuting because they defy their own fucking logic, not that you understand fuck-all about that word. How the fuck do you not understand that? I wasn't even in high school when this was presented and I was able to tear it apart.

That's not what makes someone a good Christian. Not nagging and haranguing people who would otherwise be minding their own business is part of what goes into making someone a tolerable person. Not a good person, a tolerable one. Good people can be annoying as all get out, but the ones who are get little traction in attracting people to their point of view. Tolerable people may just be apathetic, or nasty and twisted in minor ways that they're good at hiding. Or major ways if they're REALLY good at hiding it. Of course an intolerably annoying Bible thumper can also be appalling in other ways that they manage to hide. There is no shortage of hard-core preachers who turn out to have bizarre, criminal, or just ironic (as in them doing what they've specifically been preaching against) skeletons in their closets.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.
