The biggest problem with cherry-picking the bible is that you are operating from the dubious position that it is true in the first place. Here's a map drawn up by people who are every bit as guilty of that as you:
The verses I have quoted from Exodus, Leviticus and Numbers consist of ALL the descriptions of Yahweh in those books. If you go through the verses from those books in my list then you will get the complete picture of Yahweh. Exodus? I still do not know what happened, where it happened, etc. All I am certain about is that the Hebrews worshipped a volcano or all volcanoes. I am very sorry that my theory is not water tight or complete. It's a work-in-progress. Thanks for chipping in.

which shows that your non-existent "Hebrews" never went anywhere near Saudi Arabia.
There is as yet no definitive theory for the route of Exodus.
By the way...and this won't help you or the group mentioned above..."Red Sea" is a mistranslation of yam suph which more accurately means "Reed Sea."
I was well aware of that but thank for adding to the stock pile of information.
In any event, you still have failed to show that there were any Hebrews ( slave or otherwise ) in Egypt...whereas modern archaeology has demonstrated that the people who later became Jews settled the eastern hill region of Palestine around 1200 BC.
...and before that?
Stop reading ancient superstition and catch up with the modern world.
Stop telling me what to do. I've not once demanded anyone listen to me, believe me, etc. Do what you want and so shall I.

Quote:In the last quarter century or so, archaeologists have seen one settled assumption after another concerning who the ancient Israelites were and where they came from proved false. Rather than a band of invaders who fought their way into the Holy Land, the Israelites are now thought to have been an 'indigenous culture that developed west of the Jordan River around 1200 B.C. Abraham, Isaac, and the other patriarchs appear to have been spliced together out of various pieces of local lore.

Midian was in North-Western Saudi Arabia....the land to the East of the Gulf of Aqaba.
VOLCANO GOD IS PLEASED WITH YOUR OFFERING:
I love volcanic eruptions + lightning. Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day

If you go to Philadelphia it does not mean that you are also in Pittsburgh at the same time even though you are in Pennsylvania. If you are going to suggest that there was a "magic" volcano that appeared because the stupid bible says so, well, what can I say. I'm not discussing magic. I'm discussing history/archaeology and geology. RE: God Yahweh Allah was a volcano.

The god of the bible is quite clearly a giant bunny in the sky. I mean I have all the evidence right here:
VISUAL PROOF MOTHERFUCKERS. Deal with that. Didn't make me laugh to be honest. I'm not sure what the joke was. This on the other hand is funny:
So at what point did the Bible become partly factual according to you, because the Jews came from somewhere? Please, oh wise one, pray tell us.
