What you are doing, Hannah, is called cherry-picking. The biggest problem with cherry-picking the bible is that you are operating from the dubious position that it is true in the first place. Here's a map drawn up by people who are every bit as guilty of that as you:

The verses I have quoted from Exodus, Leviticus and Numbers consist of ALL the descriptions of Yahweh in those books. If you go through the verses from those books in my list then you will get the complete picture of Yahweh. Exodus? I still do not know what happened, where it happened, etc. All I am certain about is that the Hebrews worshipped a volcano or all volcanoes.
