Game of Thrones (no spoilers in the OP)

RE: Game of Thrones (no spoilers in the OP)
Right, she's just got a nasty case of rope-burn, as far as we can tell. Though, Jaime notes her gaunt, ragged appearance, and that's been used by some fans as a basis that she was killed and brought back.
In every country and every age, the priest had been hostile to Liberty.

You'd have to be a better GoT scholar than I to participate in a discussion thread where only the first book is in play.

Since you're done with the books you definitely need to binge watch the show. There's a reason it's one of the best shows of all time.

As a show, I liked Spartacus. had the same amount of violence as sex for all orientations and desires. and no need for supernatural thinguies. Plus, Lucy Lawless looked pretty good in that show.

There's an old BBC show called "I, Claudius"... that one was good, too.

The writers of the show no longer have a well thought out book to follow, so... The motivations, the dialogue, the way characters move around in the world... Now seems forced and one dimensional... Not to mention the fanservice!

She was hung by Kat Stark and so was Podrick.

Quote:Brienne felt the hemp constricting, digging into her skin, jerking her chin upward. Ser Hyle was cursing them eloquently, but not the boy. Podrick never lifted his eyes, not even when his feet were jerked up off the ground. If this is another dream, it is time for me to awaken. If this is real, it is time for me to die. All she could see was Podrick, the noose around his thin neck, his legs twitching. Her mouth opened. Pod was kicking, choking, dying. Brienne sucked the air in desperately, even as the rope was strangling her. Nothing had ever hurt so much.

She screamed a word.

Stoneheart gives the choice between "noose" and "sword." She says a word. What do you think it is, and do you think she's still going to die after that?

Also, what's the point of that cliffhanger if she just died after that?
