I agree too, but there still is a psychology behind all feelings of disenfranchisement no matter label. Anger at bigotry is certainly justified. But there is also a long term economic reason for humans being lead to extremes. 

Firing works in the moment sure, and financially suing these hate groups and having people arrested for incitement to violence has worked in the past in busting up the KKK which at one point back in the 20s yielded wide power.

No, I am not making excuses. But there is the same explanation as to why when you combing economic stress with deep indoctrination, you get Nazis or KKK or ISIS. 

Hitler would have been far less likely to have risen to power if the global economy had not crashed after WW1 and the allies had not left Germany to rot after WW1.

Fight these assholes sure, but at the same time we have to push government to protect society rather than protect corporate welfare. And no, that is not being anti private sector. 

While religion is the excuse for White Nationalism, it can be greatly undermined by livable wages for urban blacks, suburban middle class, and white rural poor. Lots of this bullshit can be solved by worker pay that keeps up with the cost of living.

But right now, until we can rid Congress of the far right, and boot 45 out, we have to stand firm and not back down to these asshole bigots.

I am hardly PC, but we are not talking about free speech. 

1. We are talking about government property being used to display memorials that glorify men who fought to keep the idea of owning another human being. 

Again, that would be no different to me if Germany still had statues glorifying Hitler and his goons.


2. We are also talking about White Nationalists groups hiding behind the words "free speech" when what they really are doing is shouting fire in a theater in code. When you show up with weapons AND at the same time shout racist sick crap, that is not free speech, that is incitement to violence. Incitement to violence is not protected speech. 

3. Those assholes are being embolden by a president who spent 5 years perpetuating the fear of a black man with his birther bullshit. Started his campaign by calling Mexicans rapists. Also vilified Muslims. Made comments about assaulting protesters at his rallies. Vilified Hillary by "joking" about armed treasonous insurrection "2nd Amendment". Vilified and still does, the free press. Shit on the very intel he now has to depend on.

The climate is toxic politically and 45 is the root cause of what we are seeing today.

Removing the glorification of slave ownership is not an end to free speech. It is correcting our history and putting it in the right context.

It's a bit tricky in the US, because these guys can can have rally's and say horrible things in public places.  It's not anybody's 'territory'.  I'm okay with making that illegal if people want.  It's definitely a slippery slope, but I don't mind personally.  
It's almost like it's all bullshit.
