Very happy with a slight sense of dread.
I have the weekend ahead of me, already decided I'm going to get treats, pig out, go watch Annabelle with the tinder girl I met early last week.
The sense of dread comes from a potability that my seemingly perfect weekend plans could be fucked up and destroyed by something unforseen, plus the fact I have two solid weeks of work after this with no day off.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.

Pretty positive. I think given time i can accomplish the goals I have in life. The only problem I have is it doesn't feel like things are moving fast enough.

Footsore. I went for a long walk today in Chicago, from the hostel down to the riverboat cruise docks and back again.

Sad. Our beautiful Columbia River Gorge is burning unchecked. Thousands have been evacuated. This area is renowed.for it's win and is a windsurfing Mecca, that same wind is causing the fire to burn incredibly hot, and as can be imagined, it is spreading quickly. Last night the fire jumped the Columbia River to the Washington side.
The destruction of this National treasure is heartbreaking.
