So... PR has about the same population as what, Connecticut say. CT has a GDP of almost 300 Billion every year. 70bn once aren't going to do miracles for a state this size.
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

The upshot being they're expecting the mainland folks to spend on hurricane preparedness but then the logic breaks down for me as to why they don't have to.

So let's get a reasonable and logical answer to that.  And if they have a good reason for not wanting to spend on hurricane preparedness and I agree with it and adopt their way of thinking ?? Something wrong with their viewpoint, or them ??

I knew there'd be folks hating that question here.  Hmmm, what other groups don't like questions . . . .

The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Yes, if you were on the SS Californian on April 15, 1912 and see the Titanic, I am sure you would find it more vital to ponder why there were no more life boats launched than to actually steer towards the diseaster to try to pick them up.

not an answer

Maybe you'd like to invoke the trinity or something?

Right now, that 70bn is irrelevant because they are US citizens and we have an obligation to treat them as any other US citizens. Trump is their president - unfortunately - as much as he is - unfortunately - ours, and he has a moral duty to them every bit as much as he has a duty to Texas and Florida.

Just because people disagree with you doesn't mean their disagreement is based upon articles of faith.

Surely you've got better shots than this.

Regarding expectations, Puerto Ricans have no representation in Congress.

The question is irrelevant for the immediate present. your lack of perspective in asking it now is rather sickening.

It's fairly complex.  Far too complex for a tweet.

RE: Why is there no Puerto Rico thread
We're (mainland) expected to be all hurricane prepared up the butt yet for some reason the admin of Puerto Rico gets a pass. WHY THE FUCK IS THAT?

I've sure sat thru a shit load of 12 stepper meetings about enablers and enabling and boy does this reek of it.

BTW, $70,000,000,000 is 7 years worth of annual Puerto Rico budgets. And additionally, they did seek redress during the Obama era for the fucking financial headache the Jones Act is causing them. So who bounced it this past week ?? Sure as hell wasn't fucking Obama. Maybe I'd agree with Obama's reasons if I knew what they were ???

And this is a great time to talk about this fucking spendy bullshit since we don't talk about it otherwise. Shit, just asking questions incites a fucking inquisition and NO FUCKING ANSWERS.

Maybe we would agree with their reasons? I'm willing to hear the explanation, why no one else ?
