Well, There's this....
"The Islamic State terror group took credit for the Las Vegas shooting, saying the gunman converted to Islam months ago, but provided no evidence to back up the claim."

If this does not create stricter federal gun controls or bans then congress/americans are fucking nuts.
How much more strict can the ban be?
You need a class three license which is next to impossible to get unless you are a full Federal Firearms Licensed Dealer or firearms manufacturer and even then the ban excluded anything newer than any receiver built post 1985.. that means 30 to 40 year old tens if not hundreds of thousands of rounds being put through an old gun.
IDK if you dou-che's are aware but those automatic parts wear out. it takes a ton of money to have and maintain a legal automatic weapon, which means the one this guy had was most likely illegal. Otherwise who buys a 50K gun to kill 50 people? he could have got more with a silenced semi auto long gun from his sniper's nest before they knew what was going on. or if numbers were a consideration he could have lobed a few dozen pipe bombs from his vantage point and then peppered with gun fire.
Any modern gun would be illegal if it were made into an automatic. Which means there are laws on the books already preventing law abiding people from having stuff like that, but it's like what we have been saying for years, criminals don't care what laws you put into place they will do whatever they want anyway. you are just disarming the "good people."
JFC are you really that dense? Not talking just about full auto even though this full auto event might be the impetus for change.
And I'm not disarming the "good" people. I'm confident that I'll be able to continue to purchase just as I was under the last ban. Not so sure about you.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

I think that the logical conclusion from being in a war zone is to STOP believing in God. Not to start believing.

I would not be surprised to learn that this man had something severely wrong with him that wasn't just pure evil. Of course, I wouldn't be surprised if he was just evil either.
The Kent state shooter back in the 60s had a brain tumor. Still a moot point to me.
The sane need to stop allowing media to use motive as a distraction.
When a person with a brain defect gets a gun, it is still an issue of access.
When a criminal gets a firearm it is still an issue of access.
When a mentally ill person gets one like the Va Tech shooter, it is still an issue of access.
When a racist like Roof gets one, it is still an issue of access.
When a Muslim, like the Pulse shooter gets one, it is still an issue of access.
And even without taking mass shootings into account, the bulk of firearm deaths happen in the home or with someone the victim knew.
We have 36,000 firearm deaths per year on average. Mostly suicides, accidental, and domestic violence, between spouses, dating and neighbor on neighbor.
So while funding mental health issues is important, ease of access is also a problem.
Sorry. I don't see how any of that is relevant to what I was talking about. I'm just noting similarities I see between two mass shootings. Any inference about legislation is yours alone. I'm not getting into that debate here. It won't make an iota of difference.

If you're bound and determined most semi's can be converted to full. One make/model only takes a bent wire coat hanger.

Then let me speak in a language you might understand:
Baaaa! Baaa! Baaahh! Baaa!
"Tradition" is just a word people use to make themselves feel better about being an asshole.

Or better yet, no version of any God or gods exist, and humans merely like the idea of a super hero protecting them.

I guess we'll wait and see. But just a note, you don't have to be a liberal to be anti Trump...

It is true though. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/las-vegas-s...ror-group/
If I had to guess, I'd say Isis is just pulling that out of their asses. But it is true that they took credit for it.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
