Do you feel different about Bill Clinton's sexual past?

RE: Do you feel different about Bill Clinton's sexual past?
There are accusations against Hilary too. That she was trying to silence her husband's sexual assault victims.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Yeah, I'd believe that. Like any "good" politician would do, I guess...

The republicunts have been making up shit about Hillary for 30 years.  The result is the miserable pile of shit that is now sitting in the White House.

That's not a very rational comparison. I've already said what I think about unfounded 'accusations', but that aside, if you compare the two candidates Trump is clearly more a sexual predator than Hillary Clinton. Throwing in vague 'accusations' is just trying to muddy the water on what is really a clear judgement call that has to be made.

It's not like they were both somewhere interchangeably on a spectrum, and we can't possibly know where that is. That's an attempt at justifying and obfuscating the fact that Trump's views on this are twisted and morally wrong, and that he was elected with people having full knowledge of this.

I wasn't comparing the 2. Just adding another element to the Clinton accusations.

My post wasn't meant to be in response to yours.

Why? That obfuscates the serious issue of some people being actual sexual predators.

Why?

Why not? We are talking about Bill's sexual assault allegations, it doesn't seem too far out of left field to mention how his wife reacted to it.

I would say silencing a victim of sexual assault (if that actually happened) is just as much a problem as the sexual assault itself. I don't see it as obfuscating the issue at all.

Oh, I thought you meant Hillary Clinton accusations (to justify why people still voted for Trump).

Can't we get some variety of last names here!?!

Yeah, it's a tricky issue: if you give attention to not-serious political accusations I see that as drawing away from the actual issue and sensationalizing it for political reasons. It's taking advantage of a very real problem. But if you don't give attention to it, and you're dealing with a real victim, it's pretty awful to ignore it.

If that actually happened is the hard part. But I do maintain there needs to be backing for this kind of claim in politics, otherwise literally anyone can take down any politician by claiming to be a victim of sexual assault.

How would you react if there were multiple sexual assault allegations against your husband?
"Tradition" is just a word people use to make themselves feel better about being an asshole.
