RE: Food or sex? Which would you give up?

For whatever reason, it seems what little sense of smell I have left is largely focused in my mouth, because my sense of taste is better developed than my sense of smell. I don’t think it’s an ASD thing; I think in my case, it’s the result of being congested enough times that my smell receptors have atrophied.

Got to give the nod to sex and ditch the pleasure of food. Basically I'm trying to approach eating as non-recreational already in order to lose and keep off weight. So whether I eat or not, I'm not indulging that pleasure much anyhow. My appetite for sex is not as great as it used to be, though I can't say I much miss the horniness of my teens/twenties. There might be a few pleasures I'd rank over either food or sex though.

I'm young and too sexually active to even consider the other option anyway.
Ditto for me. I'm a pretty skinny guy. Most of the time I find eating to be somewhat of a chore. If I could just take a pill that would let me not have to eat, I'd probably do it.
Plus giving up sex would cause the gf to dump me for sure.

Sorry if I'm mistaken, I was under the impression you had ASD.
It's interesting if you do have it but you don't think that's due to the ASD though. Because hyposensitivty of any senses can be symptomatic of ASD.

Indeed, if I went off food the chances of sex may increase.
If I only had food they'd have to roll me to work.

My guess is that's evidence you're a happy person then. The happiest moments of my life I rushed through my meals because even the tastiest meals were fucking boring in comparison to the other awesome shit I was doing. Food seems to only be a pleasure when I don't have much else to be happy about.
Do you think if you ever became depressed food would suddenly be the highlight of your day?

I think id give up food.
I think it would be tougher than someone would imagine to remember to eat though without hunger.
Sex and ontop of that attraction are so much to me. To probably a psychotic amount.
I can remember asses and tits ive seen while walking the streets from years ago, glances and comments from girls all of that stuff.
Even with girls ill never realistically have sex, even attractive lesbians i apreciate the act of just making a good looking girl laugh or charming them in some way.
And this is without even getting onto how much i enjoy actual sex itself
Its a tough question though because i think i take food for granted but then without the hunger it wouldnt be tough.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.

Tough question. In the end, I think sex is just a lot more important. Not caring about eating would be a huge bummer, but there just isn't a lot of importance in enjoying eating.

Give up sex. For the most part mines dragging in the mud anyway. I just talk a good (creepy) game.

Id give up the pleasures of food. I love food, but a good sex life is important to a marriage and that's my priority.

Exactly
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
