Food or sex? Which would you give up?

I've never even had spam.

For me it's not the taste that is so unappealing, it's the bizarre unearthly weird-ass texture. Nothing else has that consistency, tooth feel, and innate lubricity that Spam has.

.. when you're coming into a high Sierra camp on the ninth day of a cross Sierra backpack trip, buy a can of spam and pull out your cook stove right on the rocks beside the Merced river for your first non-freeze dried meal in more than a week ..

.. it can be transcendent.  Even better than the M&M chocolate covered peanuts.

I'll take you word for it.  

During my recent illness when I essentially didn't eat for 50 days, Spam never sounded 'good', regardless of how hungry I felt I should be.

I would forgo sex in favor of food and drink. Food and drink have so many more interesting combinations. And i like to cook. And sex can be kind of boring after a while. Plus there is the sense of love and community around family gatherings and feasts. There are more people i would share meals with that make love.

...and then there is BEER!

I totally go through phases and moods. Sex often feels more like a need than a want and like it's wayyyyyyyy too big of a time killer. As said before. But when I'm actually horny and in the mood (which is a lot of the time) I'd probably choose sex even over music let alone food, lol.

So I guess I'll vote for giving up the pleasures of food now, but my other vote was still valid. Since the poll allows multiple votes I'll vote for both. It totally depends on my mood. Sex can definitely be like the best thing ever, and on rare occasions even masturbation can. It all really just depends on my mood, I think.

But anyways, I could give up either it just totally depends on my mood then. When I'm feeling like sex/masturbation is more of a frustrating need then I'd give up the pleasures of sex/masturbation, but when I'm really enjoying sex/masturbation I'd give up the pleasures of food. Totally dependent on my mood. When I'm really enjoying being horny I may even give up music (temporarily ).
