Of course it does!  If I lose my keys, do I just assume that a fairy took them?  How do you distinguish between someone who is a functional schizophrenic from someone who has a "genuine" religious experience?

Some folks interpret their hallucinations as communications from a deity. Ex post facto examination of the "information" furthers that impression if the person is religiously inclined. 

And no, not people who have had a religious experience are mentally ill.

Why is that? Are you perhaps only thinking of extreme examples and surplanting them to everything else?

Is there any connection to any of this to the video, other that a loose connection between assumptions, and the video topic?

I'm just throwing it out there, but Jehanne, instead of asking people to watch long ass youtube videos that interest you, have you ever considered just paraphrasing what was said in the videos, and posting that instead? Then you could talk about the content of the video with the larger group instead of the 0 to 3 people who maybe watched some of it.

So did I. Although I started skipping through and didn’t really watch the after the 60 minute mark when it dealt more with the chemistry.
