I'm always honest. Even when I ought not to be. Not so sure about you. I don't know your mind like I know mine. But in all probability you're not as honest as me. Very few people are as most people at least on occasion tell white lies, and the only options are less honest than me or equally honest as me.
I have a phobia of telling lies. Have since I was a small child. If I ever told a lie it was so far back when I was such a small child that I don't remember it. I've ruined surprise birthday parties by being unable to avoid stating the truth when asked.
You think I'm obnoxious. IMO that's more likely down to my brutal honesty than down to your complete lack of evidence that I'm not honest.

OP: No. Just tell them that you grew out of it. Like the rest of society.
