My point in my reply earlier tonight was not that the alleged crimes were of equal gravity, but that dismissing her report for not going to police doesn't impugn her any more than you not going to police impugns your report. I don't think that silence is taken to be consent..but she wasn't silent, so? I don't really see the slippery slope there as being all that credible either. No one is insisting that he should have waited for her to consent constantly, only that he doesn't seem to have stopped the first time, or the second time, or he third time....that she expressed her desire not to continue.
