He doesn't care that his claims are false, Khem. All he cares is that his claims are accepted by some. In this regard, he is a politician, not a believer in any real sense.

Admitting You're a Sinner

(January 19, 2018 at 12:32 am)Tizheruk Wrote:Quote:Atheism is attempting self hypnosis, it is trying to convince oneself of somethinNope it requires no self convincing . Quite the opposite it not being able to convince yourself to maintain a lie. I think you may be right. Atheism was a natural reaction against (false) religion in the first place. France 1790 AD. But I think they threw the baby out with the bath water. When I say self hypnosis, I am talking about the fight against the conscience, which doesn't necessarily correlate with religious impositions (of the corrupt church/es). From what I have read, there is a natural connection to God, which may be occluded by false religion, but remains intact until further notice. This means that people who claim to be atheists, are not necessarily cut off from God as religions would like to promote. RE: Admitting You're a Sinner

It's not -for- him vulcan, anymore than my responding to posters who have me on ignore is. Lurker traffic.
I know that getting a legit answer out of him will be like trying to pry a rabbit out of my beagles mouth. I don;t care. I'll provide endless opportunities for him to debase himself and his "religion" in the public square. He may be a complete waste of space as far as value of discussion.....but... -he's one of the fruits, there they are. That's the kind of apple that falls from the tree. Rotten before it ever hits the ground. I could never hope to discredit the validity and decency of religious belief more thoroughly than the religious themselves.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

And there is no unified orgin of atheism it's popped up throughout time and across civilizations Quote:But I think they threw the baby out with the bath water.Nope the turned out to be an imp Quote:When I say self hypnosis, I am talking about the fight against the conscience, which doesn't necessarily correlate with religious impositions (of the corrupt church/es).This is pure babble Quote:From what I have read, there is a natural connection to God, which may be occluded by false religion, but remains intact until further notice.Again babble Quote:This means that people who claim to be atheists, are not necessarily cut off from God as religions would like to promote.Again more babble Quote:You only need to count the "ism's" and "ist's" of your post to get the drift of what I am sayingNot really no just because there are ists and isms means little .
Seek strength, not to be greater than my brother, but to fight my greatest enemy -- myself.

Quote:There is no other world other than this; The oldest expression of atheism -on record- .....coming to us by way of heterodox hinduism, circa 600BC. Atheism (in history) was much more commonplace when the religious field was dominated by polytheism because polytheism is fundamentally more inclusive than monotheism. If we dial the notch to way, wayback..we know that even aong the earliest proto-religious societies..there were people who did not always believe the things their group considered sacred to be sacred by the swift desecration of red ochre burials. If a tribe believes that somebody really needs their favorite axe in the afterlife and that it is good and proper to bury them with it in reverence...the fact that someone dug it up almost as quick as it was buried suggests -some- disagreement on that count between members of the group. Uncle Ogg wasn't buying any of that "summerland" business with the great horned elk...and he had mouths to feed. Atheism is as old as the human species, at least...and a great deal older than christianity, or any "false" religion one follower of some other false religion cares to point out. It's been with us for as long as we've had thoughts in our head.
