It's your fucking rules, either go with them or give it up. Making excuses for why you're exempt and we're not might make you feel special in primary school, but this is the real world you live in now. Pretend you're talking to grownups and who knows - we might just grant you the same courtesy in return.

The Bible is written in English, so one must read it by it's rules.

Then the answer ought to be simple for you, if you are at all familiar with English.

Does the book say those things or not?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

You are smarter than that. You know who it calls fools and how it does not recommend we call someone a fool.

Does the Bible have contradictions? Hundreds. Apparently. Only apparently.

Yeah, my Mom's favorite answer when we found an obviously clear contradiction in the Wholly Babble was "you're reading it wrong, you don't have enough faith, God will explain it when we get to heaven, go pray to be forgiven for doubting God".      Dodgy     Doh   If that hideous evil book of fairy tales had said that 2 + 2 = 17 she (and the illiterate preachers she loved so much) would have tied themselves in knots trying to explain why it was TRUE - because if she thought for a moment that the book had a flaw (gasp!) god would send her to hell, do not pass go, do not collect $200.   The Bible has well over 600 clear contradictions, thousands of ridiculous lies, and plenty of passages that are pure evil.

Then you had better get right with your pet god and obey its rules, if you are choosing to stand by the words you quote.

I don't give a fuck for contradictions in shitty mythology. Only doublethink in its mouthpieces.

PS: Sorry for snapping at you a few days ago, Banned. I regret doing it, and I apologize. I was completely in the wrong there, and there's no excuse--I was a jerk.

Peace.

I deserved it.

No, you didn't.

Here I stand, ready to be blown away by the wisdom of god almighty.....but I do expect more than what a bum on the street could tell me......
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

People often contradict the Bible. It's not a novel by any means.

I am curious enough not to give up study over an apparent difficulty, the rewards of knowing the answer are just too enticing.

But that's not everyone's cup of tea.

"The fool says in his heart there is no God."

The statement in the Bible doesn't call for a trumpeter, but it certainly allows some pretty clear and simple deductions.

Would you like me to show some hypocrisy? or would I be in no "danger of hell fire" because hell won't ever exist?

Look at the fabulous wealth the Alchemists attained by adopting this attitude.
It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.

Apparently not..sitting or standing, you and yours have absolutely nothing to say or to add. Charlatans, the lot of you.
