AF Biggest Loser/Fitness Challenge-May 3 to Whenever We're Not Fat Anymore

Hopefully, this eventful two days won't knock me off track.

Rolling with the punches is certainly part of the process.  You didn't even gain weight.  But even if you got high, got the munchies and binged on something regrettable it would still be necessary to right the boat, get back on track and carry on.

^^^

So I've been on mostly liquid now for ten days or so. My official calorie target has been 1950 (now 1910), but I have been trying to keep it to just over 1200.

Excepting one date night meal that didn't push me over my official target, and one other where I just couldn't not feel hungry one night, I've succeeded in keeping my intake to 1200-1300 calories.

By the scale, I've lost 7.2 lbs in the last 7 days (320 on 4/11, 312.8 today). However, my weight on the 4/10 and 4/12 are 318 and 316.2 respectively, so I'm gonna say it's been closer to 3.5-4.0 lbs, which would be right in line with what I'm eating and my sedentary caloric requirements. Fat guys burn calories just existing, yo. Tongue

312.8 also happens to be the lowest recorded weight that I have had in more than I don't know how many years. I don't think I'm very far from fitting correctly into my scuba drysuit, which when accomplished would take me back to 2011.

I'm gonna go into maintenance mode starting Friday.

Got into some junk carbs over the last couple days and weight is up from water retention. Time for more veggies and protein.

1910 was also my calorie allotment with an intention of loosing 2 pounds/week.

I've been in maintenance more now for about a year and it seems pretty easy and natural now. I no longer use food (sweets and salty things) as a reward and I limit my indulgence to one thing a day, one cookie (bought at the bakery next door, can't keep that kind of shit around here without blowing it) on a no exercise day but a scone on a day I work out. I still have something with tea first thing in the morning, but we only keep boring sweets in the house .. Belvita breakfast biscuit (2 cookies, 1/2 the pkg = 115 calories, limit 2 servings/day) or TJ breakfast bar ("This Mango walked into a bar ..", or strawberry or blueberry = 140 calories, limit 1/day). At night I can have a Mochi/ice cream dessert (100 calories) -or- rarely, one row (3 squares) of a TJ's sugar free dark chocolate bar (also 100 calories). Occasionally if we've eaten out or I think I've eaten a lot that day I may skip dessert at night. Eating out we just share a dish. If we're celebrating we might share a salad, a main course and a dessert. Oh and wine, just a small glass most nights.

Weight now trending down again. Planning to do something for exercise this weekend, perhaps a walk at a nature preserve or a yoga class.

Think I gotta cut out alcohol, soda and juice out altogether... teeth stuff.

Probably be good for my weight too.

In fact, I have been told by the dentist that they're so worried about the erosion now they recommend I stop having really really strong coffees because I drink so many strong ones that the acid even in that is bad (they said before acid in coffee is different but they seem to have changed their mind Dodgy)... so not even any coffee for me anymore. Water and milk for all eternity.

Oh well, I had a good run, almost got to 30 drinking crap Big Grin

After all, there are better things to do with my life.

I guess.

You can do it, bro! Maybe there's other stuff you can drink that isn't acidic too.

So I'm finally under 200 lbs. I'm about what I weighed Sophomore year in H.S. when the weight gain first started getting bad. Might be partially from whatever's making me sick
but I'll take it.

So I want go to maintenance calories for a while, hopefully I can gain back some lean mass. Except I don't know if I'm well enough to work out. Plus I can only get to a decent grocery store once a week and food will run out fast if I bump my calories now.

But 199.2 lbs Whooo! %3-4 Bodyfat and 24.2 pounds left to go!

You can do it like Mooney and prepare your own cool drink with one of these:
