Let me give you a little lesson: people without a character are those that have no arguments so they steep to Ad hominem attack - just like you. You claim some stupid shit like Black Holes aren't proven or that biological evolution has not been proved and then attack me and everybody else with some pathetic, bigoted Ad hominem attacks for not agreeing with you because you have no character to admit that you are wrong, stupid and uneducated.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

When Godinfected gets like this it makes me smile because he resorts to insults when he can't come up with an answer. I think it's because the stress of not being able to come up with answer when he feels in his bones that he is right because of how he has been conditioned is deflected outwards as aggression.

I've prayed for hear many times and it now has been a long time since she has heard voices. So you see she is not delusional, because we know she has heard voices and i'm not delusional because God has answered my prayer for her. You are the delusional one who has no concept of what goes on in the real world or the spiritual world. My young lady and I have seen God in action, you don't because you are spiritually blind.

OK, let's go through this bit by bit just to get my head round the twisted logic of what you saying

You care for someone who is schizophenic and hears voices. Fact that she is mentally challenged is irrelevant.

You prayed for her and now she no longer hears voices.

So your god can interfere with how people's minds work? I thought it was important for him that humans have free will?

And because you prayed for her and assumed that this was why she stopped hearing voices, you now think that she wasn't delusional about the voices and that they actually existed?

So are you now saying that she wasn't schizophrenic after all?

Of course this all forgets your confirmation bias you use to that to ignore the fact that the schizophrenia developed, and then went, and that she was probably also receiving treatment so you can claim that you prayers healed her instead. Like for example, how do you know it was your prayer that cured her? Not only is there no mechanism by which prayer could work, it doesn't even make sense within your own belief system regarding free will.

Again, you have gone for the convoluted explanation and missed the simplest. You're delusional and her schizophrenia was cured by other means.

There are plenty of christian forums to go to if that's what you want. Do you visit someone else's house and tell them to shut up because you are having a conversation with your own family?

We're getting closer to the truth about why christians want a civil section. I haven't been uncivil at all. You just don't wish to be challenged. It's what many of us suspected all along.

The whole idea of free will is incompatible with christian ideas of god, yet it's still there bang in the middle of their theology.

Yep, guilty as charged. Used to live in Brighton in the late 90's. Not that I was ever a football fan.

Still fond of the town, even if it seemed to be partying on anti-depressants.

I do not have to be the smartest kid on the block to see through fallible science. As far as attacking people you are the one who always jumps into my conversation with others to call me everything your little brain can come up with. Which is fine with me except you are trying to derail conversation you do not like, instead you should just butt out.

Why you posted all that trash to say this one little thing I have no idea. What I do know is that free will is part of the teachings of the scriptures, if you have biblical information to the contrary you should post it.

How is being mentally challenged irrelevant?

Mathilda Wrote:You prayed for her and now she no longer hears voices.

She has heard voices since I've prayed for her, they have been less and less. Now as far as we know she doesn't hear them anymore. The medication she has been on for years never helped, we she came to us she was hearing them all the time.

Mathilda Wrote:So your god can interfere with how people's minds work? I thought it was important for him that humans have free will?

Now you are showing just how dumb you are, would you choose to have a disease like cancer. God heals that isn't a interference it is mercy. Again she did not choose to become schizophrenic ans neither would you.

Mathilda Wrote:And because you prayed for her and assumed that this was why she stopped hearing voices, you now think that she wasn't delusional about the voices and that they actually existed?

So are you now saying that she wasn't schizophrenic after all?

I did not come close to say the crap you're spewing. She may very well be schizophrenic, I never said she was, I said she doesn't hear voices anymore. She wasn't and isn't delusional she has an illness that I wouldn't even wish on you.

Mathilda Wrote:Of course this all forgets your confirmation bias you use to that to ignore the fact that the schizophrenia developed, and then went, and that she was probably also receiving treatment so you can claim that you prayers healed her instead. Conformation bias to ignore a fact, you truly deluded. I have always said she received treatment and still is, I've never denied that fact. My prayers did not stop her from hearing voices God has done that, I simply asked Him to help her. You know nothing about Christianity, free will is part of the teachings of the scriptures, you don't want it to be so because that would mean it's your choice to go to an eternal punishment and that is the real truth. I also never said she was cured, I simply stated she hasn't hear voice in a good while and the medication she was and is on hadn't worked for several years, I see no reason they would all of a sudden start.

I do not visit Christian forums because I do not think it appropriate for Christians to argue over trivial things. As far as being challenged I accept it all the time. This house belongs to all the members you are not special nor are the rest of the atheist here. We the members make up this forum. You are one of the most uncivil people here and do your best to derail conversations, we the Christians see through you and the rest who join in on your little game, Jesus said "let him who has eyes see." We do!

GC
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

The only thing I'm doing here is giving you an advice because this is how you look to all of us. Nobody has any respect toward the garbage you write here.

Again when it comes to your personal attacks on me, no amount of you trying to insult me ad hominem won't make your unsubstantiated and false claims true. The only thing that you can do is educate yourself, read a science book.
