What is your problem with Islam? Think about it
RE: What is your problem with Islam? Think about it
@Mystic
As predicted, you didn;t stop believing in magic book, despite your claim.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

One the contradictions I use to believe and prevented me from realizing Quran is from God is the notion God would not talk to disbelievers or ask them about their sins with the notion he will question them and talk to them.

A clear contradiction till you realize simple angles (directly) and (through the witnesses). So God won't talk directly to disbelievers. But he will talk to them through the witness from the people of their time.

And while God won't really be seeking answers with questions in that sense, he will be questioning in a way that are rhetorical (not really questions) to display that disbelievers even testify against themselves as it says in another verse "sufficient are you today as a witness against yourself".

That was a contradiction that I thought there was no solution, till, I understood different angles, and all that. It's the same with verse "All (good and evil) is from God", that is followed with " Whatever good comes to you is from God and whatever evil is from yourself", they are both true, but different angles.

As an official place that "gives an exception" to a general rule; the examples are too many that I don't know which to choose:

One verse contained "the general statement".
The other contained "the exception".

You are expected to read the whole Quran, with the contexts it gives; a belief cannot stand without taking the whole book into consideration. In other words; you cannot say that God "forgives all sins" without saying "except associating others with him". It has nothing to do with Arabic.

Cherry picking is not allowed with the Quran; it's a whole book.

That's why it's a contradiction.  The general statement contains the word "All."

synonyms:
completely, fully, entirely, totally, wholly, absolutely, utterly, outright, thoroughly, altogether, quite, in every respect, in all respects, without reservation, without exception
"he was dressed all in black"

God can't forgive sins without exceptions with exceptions.

If you know the way English works and synonyms then you'd 100% understand this and this isn't to insult you because I know you don't speak English as a first language so you'll just have to trust me that it is a contradiction in English to say "All sins are forgiven"  And then to say "This one sin isn't forgiven."  It doesn't matter about which part of the book it's in, or if you're taking the book as a whole or anything like that.

The only time your argument might work in English is if someone said something like "All the pies were tasty except this one."  Then you're immediately clarifying the exception in relation to the word "All" in the same sentence.
So this is either to do with some kind of language barrier or you're purposefully misunderstanding the way exceptions and contradictions work.

Then; associating other Gods with Allah is not a sin. It was categorized to be something else; far far more terrible than a sin:

Quote:https://quran.com/31/13?translations=

Sahih International

Sura 31, The Quran:
(13) And [mention, O Muhammad], when Luqman said to his son while he was instructing him, "O my son, do not associate [anything] with Allah . Indeed, association [with him] is great injustice."

It's crossing the sin to another category far worse; and that is " great injustice ".

I apologize, but I withdraw my previous explanation, I forgot about this verse. If we put this into the equation, we'll understand that all sins are forgiven, but a " great injustice " would never be forgiven.

Ok and just out of curiosity do you now think that "All sins are forgiven" and "there is a sin that isn't forgiven" is a contradiction now?

If so do you find it odd that your mind blocked out what the definition of the word "all" means and how it's used in English in order for you to continue believing the quran has no contradictions?

Because I don't actually believe I was teaching you the definition of the word "all" when I posted it there, I think you already knew it, but you just didn't want to know it.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

"Taught me"?

You actually thought that you "taught me"?
I don't apologize this time; but it's you that blocked the information, in either explanations the verse had no contradiction, and I take it that if one road is blocked; the other is open.

So if one explanation indicates contradiction, there's another explanation that doesn't suggest contradiction at all.

Let's see a dictionary different than the one you posted from:

Quote:all
ɔːl/
predeterminer, determiner, & pronoun
determiner: all; pronoun: all
1.
used to refer to the whole quantity or extent of a particular group or thing.
"all the people I met"
synonyms:
each of, each one of the, every one of the, every single one of the;
every, each and every, every single
"all the children went"

the whole of the, every bit of the, the complete, the entire, the totality of the;
in its entirety
"the sun shone all week"

complete, entire, total, full, utter, perfect, all-out, greatest (possible), maximum
"in all honesty"

everyone, everybody, each/every person, the (whole) lot
"all are welcome"

each one, each thing, the sum, the total, the whole lot
"all of the cups were broken"

everything, every part, the whole amount, the total amount, the (whole) lot, the entirety, the sum total, the aggregate
"they took all of it"

This is from google.
?Where is the meaning you put? I don't see "exception" being a part of any of the above; what you did was cherry picking of a meaning that serves your bias: i.e what you're accusing me of doing.

I provided 2 possible meanings and explanations for the verse. It's up to the reader to choose what they see better.

One problem I have with Islam is that guy who can't sing on the loud speakers at five in the morning.
Talk about inconsiderate.
I find the x-tian bells a much more pleasing call to prayer and usually rung at a later hour.
Apart from that I don't dislike it anymore than other religions.
Of course there is always that little bit of bias that, being familiar with x-tianity, I feel a bit more comfortable with that lot and I accept that that's just cultural.
I do feel sorry for moderate muslims in my country who continually have to prove themselves and these people are super friendly if you give them a chance.

I never heard a Christian bell TBH "except in movies -_-", but personally the Islamic "اذان" is unique to me.
It sucks that Muslims always have to prove themselves after the war on terror propaganda.

I just said I don't believe I did teach you anything and you took that to mean i said I taught you something and you still don't know what the word all means after all that. The definition I showed you about all meaning without exception is in the first Google search I did. A synonym of all is without exception, they have the same meaning.

Well that is just stupid. You want to adhere to that stupidity, good luck with that.
