Live long or die young?

I would choose to live a long life. I don't really care much for fame of any sort. There might've been a moment in my early 20's when I would have chosen a short life packed full of neat shit, but I am almost 30 now. I have great kids, and I wouldn't mind seeing who they grow up to be, and also I'd enjoy meeting my grandchildren someday. Obscurity is peaceful.

When you reach 60, you may think a bit differently about questions like this I suspect ( from my own experience ). As regards fame, I love music, hence my examples of who I would have chosen to be over being me. A rock hero, wow, nirvana! Dying young as a religious martyr, for example, no thanks! Obscurity wins over that.  A man is born to a virgin mother, lives, dies, comes alive again and then disappears into the clouds to become his Dad. How likely is that?

I'll be the one who gets to watch tearful documentaries about those of you who chose the short life and think to myself "Silly silly man". Also, I'm alive, so I win by default.

@ those who check out early. I believe Dennis Leary said it best.
"Fuck em, more meat for the meat eaters" Honestly though, who chooses death over diapers. Think of it this way, when you get older no one bats an eye when you pay a pretty young girl to wipe your ass and wash your sack. (while you get roasted and zooted on all manner of legally available and affordable drugs)
