He does a poor job of it .

Question for you -- "Why did no one who was alive during the time of Jesus mention him by name?"

Do you mean other than those who do?

And who do you have in mind... And what evidence do you have that they are any more real than your godboy?

Those who wrote the New Testament. We have the churches the started in early Christianity, we have writing of the early Church that spoke of them. While there where some disputes in the authors of the New Testament, there is a lot of agreement as well. Every copy that we have of the Gospels, which is in tact eneough to have a title page or title at the top, all ascribe them to the same author. What type of evidence or historical method are you thinking of? How many people from the time, can meet these requirements? For that matter, how many today could?

Long winded apologist absurdities

And again trying to compare Jesus to a real historical figure fail

Your ignorance of such basic facts is mind-boggling. Why don't you read Ehrman's Jesus Interrupted and find out the scope of your ignorance?

Name one secular source, that is, someone who was alive during the time of Jesus who mentioned him, by name.

For the umpteenth time, this is evidence for Christianity. It is not evidence for the existence of Jesus.

I posted this excerpt from Jesus Interrupted some time ago.  I warn you, RR.  Don't click the link unless you are willing to risk learning something.

I'm perfectly willing to have a historical discussion, as Jair seems to want, but if you are going to pull the Lilly Von Schtup routine from Blazing Saddles don't waste my time.
