I think the fact that giving birth is life threatening is enough of a case for early term abortions, at least.

Statistically speaking, forbidding women from aborting leads to more abortions, clandestine abortions which then lead to complications and even death of the women.
As such, the most pro-life position is one that allows women to abort.
So please don't follow the sheeple and avoid using loaded terminology.

I agree wholeheartedly. My personal opinion on abortion has fluctuated, and I find myself on the fence a lot. But I recognize what you're saying as a fact, so for that reason I am pro-choice. I don't particularly like heroin either, but making it illegal and punishing its users hasn't stopped it; it just makes it more dangerous and awful.

No you would rather force a women let an unwanted intruder essentially hijack her body

Right. So the only real way to clamp down would be "arresting" pregnant women and physically forcing them to come to term.
Is this truly what anyone wants? I'm serious when I ask that. This appear to me to be the only reality which actually represents the pro-life position.
PS: this reminds me of a video I watched a while ago about idealism versus pragmatism. If you are pro-life from an idealist position, do you hold onto that even while knowing you make things worse from a pragmatic position? That's rhetorical of course. Where each person draws the line on I vs P on each issue is totally up for grabs and for discussion.

Pro life is just a buzzwork for sanctimonious asses that want to arrest every woman's body while taking no social responsability after a child has been born.

I'd have no problem with people who morally oppose abortion, and speak their mind about it; I just have a problem with those that want their beliefs made into law.
