The DaVinci Code? Got to be kidding. That book practically turns the pages for you. Who cares if it is full of batshittery? It is still a lot of fun.

I haven't read any of those so I have no way of knowing if they're really that bad. I think I saw most of the first twilight movie and I didn't find it really terrible.

Okay, so this isn't your list. I've read half of those books, and only the first three I dislike. Some of them, I actually loved (TKAM, The Road, and Confederacy of Dunces). That said, there are worse books than even Twilight or 50 Shades of Grey.
I could mention some fanfics, including one Naruto fanfic as long as the first Harry Potter book with a number of correctly spelled sentences in the double digits, and horrifying sex scenes. When I dissected it on my Deviantart page, I said it was likely the worst novel ever written. Then again, the author had the good sense to not actually try and publish it.
This one, I discovered through a documentary series called Down the Rabbit Hole. It's called Empress Theresa, and it involves a Mary Sue teenage girl who merges with an alien and becomes the most powerful person on the planet.
While the official video includes a discussion about the author and his combativeness towards his critics (read: everyone who's heard of the book), including a long thread on an Amazon review's comment section that went on for years and only stopped because the thread reached its post limit (which is 10,000 posts), it does not go into detail about the contents of the book. However, this livestream by the guy who made that documentary does:
It takes about 40 minutes before he goes into the officially posted excerpts, but when he gets to it, he really tears it a new asshole.
