Like it did under Bush? Obama brought us out of that Recession. As I said Dems are much better at lowering taxes where it does the most good.

Numbers don’t lie, but the Wooster does.  In fact it seems well nigh impossible for him to do anything but.    Perhaps the Wooster can never be less full of shit than his usual because he is incapable of absorbing anything that is not shit..

Being a republicunt MEANS being full of shit.

Don't worry, asswipe.  When the next Dem gets in he's going to have one hell of a Trumptardian mess to clean up.  And fuckheads like Chad will spend all their time complaining about it.

The last time we tried to learn from the Republicans, we ended up with political correctness, the reactionary and censorious mentality of the right applied to the concerns of the left. And as much of a resurgence as it's been getting, I can't see it working long-term.

Really, the Republicans keep winning because they take advantage of the fact that the people are undereducated (due partly to their gutting our educational system), and try to bill totally impossible policies as "common sense". That and appealing to the darker side of the American Id. If there's any other legitimate reason Trump made it so damn far (besides Russian interference and people being disenchanted with Obama), I'd like to hear it.

Fake Populism. I don't think too many people were stupid enough to be sure he was going to take on the establishment and look out of them. But some people thought it was a possibility. Which is still pretty stupid considering he's a billionaire who himself gave politicians bribe money. But they were too busy working 46 hours a week to research that kind of thing. Or they didn't care enough to.

The economy crashed under Bush and recovered under Obama. I was in America during all that, where were you?

Alt-Rightistan.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

It is not clear whether Wooster is the dumb moron at the receiving end of the right wing con, or the useful enthusiastic idiot who imagines there is something in it for him to help perpetuate the con.  But the con itself and its origins is familiar:  never allow the gullible moron to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it.

It is also not surprising the chip off the old trumpster, the most unabashed practitioner of this con in American politics yet, should suggest it is his parent baboon’s enemies who are like the Nazis.

A distinction without much of a difference, really. Well, maybe with the veneer of populism so thin it'll crumble to dust if it's handled by anything more than the static electricity created by a squirrel's hair brush.

The economy operates on a delayed effect for many things. Policies enacted under obama, Bush, etc are still having an effect on the economy. It's not all in the moment, and the president has limited effect, as much as people like to blame or credit whoever is in office. Chairman of the fed has more effect, but the free market and just technological progress has far more effect than any of that.

You could only be adding "the dems do-do it too!"..and case in point, the dems have been losing.

The argument in favor of voter suppression is that then you get the more passionate well informed voters voting. I don't buy that argument, or rather think that it's a good thing, but it exists.

My stake isn't with one party or another. Just with the truth. I see on here voter surpression brought up a lot, and the implication behind it is that Democratics are not doing voter surpression because they are more moral.

This is a false statement. For one, Democratics do do voter surpression. To believe they don't is to simply never have looked into it.

Two, it's true that they don't do as much as republicans, but that's nothing to do with some sort of moral quality at all. It's entirely a self interested thing. Democratics perform better with larger turnouts. The Republican base is older, and old people turn out to vote in every election. They are more rural, so it's normally easier to vote, less lines etc.

In comparison Democrats are younger, less inclined to vote in general.

If the situation was reversed, Democratics would be doing all the voter surpression that the republicans do.

You're still going on about this?  It doesn;t matter to me who does voter suppression to whom..it's a bad idea..and since the dems are totally doing it too..this isn't something they can learn from the GOP as to how to win elections.  Apparently, it works better for one group regardless of both groups doing it...and the remainder of your post describes some of the details why this has been the case.

If a person is looking for something that the dems can learn from the currently successful GOP strategy (I;m pretty sure they're committing suicide, but hey, whatevs)..voter suppression isn't one of them from any angle. It's not in the interest of dems to reduce the number of people voting, it;s not consistent with the party's platform, and whatever amount of it theyre doing now simply isn;t working. Then..ofc....it's wrong and illegal...but we don;t really need to go there to show why it;s a bad idea that only works for bad people, insomuch as it "works", lol.

QED, right?

If I had to put something forward..that might actually work..how about the transparent partinship of nominations?

Say a dem manages to get into office, what do they immediately do?  Appoint "moderates" and even conservatives in an effort to build a coalition and provide some semblance of bipartisanship.

LOL, noobs.

A conservative gets in there and appoints people who say that life starts at the tip of the penis.  Not even a nod to pretense. GG libs.
