Religion here with black americans was originally used as a social restraint to keep black african slaves from turning on the white population at that time, to help them find peace with their adopted soceity...

Now you think it is a good thing that the social restraints let's call them 'collective morality' for lack of a better term, are being removed is a good thing. keeping in mind white social structure, culture and even what is and is not moral are not always in agreement with black american culture/morality.
