I don’t think anything out of the ordinary from regular old reasoning.  I’m not saying that atheists are stupid.... I just lack belief they are intelligent.

1. Bring up some ancient scientist before Darwin then claim creationism is science  

2.Boast about a scientist who did something in an unrelated field 

3.Scream conspiracy

Yeah, science being a conspiracy is my favourite. It’s not a very good one though, since people are allowed to go out and spout whatever religious gibberish they want all the time. They can come on forums and claim science is a conspiracy. No one turns up in unmarked vans to take them away. It doesn't force anyone to believe it under duress.

Right. We are dumb. But consider most of us have had theists amongst our direct ancesters within the last few dozen generations. It is statistically unlikely to completely eliminate even genes as terrible as that from any bloodline within so short a time.
