@stucky: fix your quotes, I can't see that last post, probably by bad quote tag usage.

I refuse to call you dumb for your reply.

Non-responsive? You clearly do not understand evolution because you've already stated you think it is where we come from sludge out the ground or some shit like that.

Why so mad bro? Confusedhock:

Do tell us, what's so admirable about the opposable thumb that makes you think it couldn't occur naturally by evolution?

Give me a break LastPoet, I told you I'm old. I make mistakes with the computer. When I started out we communicated with crank phones. I corrected my mistake with another post.

Now, Ms. Shepley is an evolutionist but she makes a good point. Naturally, I disagree that we obtained our opposable thumb by "evolution" because I am not an evolutionist. I leave it to you to decide nforb yourself on that point. To me, I just cant understand how we could be so complex by evolving from "pond sludge".

I truly am interested in your opinions.

Whether or not you can understand it has no bearing on whether or not it is an accurate description of the origins of opposable thumbs (or of the diversity and complexity of life). This is called an argument from incredulity, or ignorance.

So, your answer is if I dont agree with you I am ignorant?

No, my answer is that if your argument against evolution consists of "I cannot understand", that, is an argument from incredulity, or ignorance. Evolution by natural selection could of course be incorrect, but that would not make ID correct. Perhaps instead of trying (and failing) to criticize our current theories regarding the diversity and complexity of life, you could offer evidence to support your own?

I suppose I should have given those links, he seems to have interpreted my comment as a personal insult.

Your posting of a link to something written by an evolutionist doesn't make my argument false LastPoet, nor does it make me ignorant for not reading it, anymore than you not reading the Bible or a creationist link makes you ignorant. I gave my opinion of the origin of the universe and said why I believe that and you keep calling me ignorant. I respect your right to your belief, why cant you accept mine? The same goes for you Rhythm. You just seem to get angry that I wont accept your margument, even though you wont accept mine and I dont care. I'm just discussing, not preaching, you two are begining to preach.
