You claimed that our intelligence requires some super intelligence to create it, right? Or did I understand it wrongly?
If that is right, then one can say that Intelligence with capacity X (human) requires an Intelligence with capacity Y (with Y greater than X) to be created.
But can the same not be said of Intelligence with capacity Y? That it requires an intelligence of capacity Z (with Z greater than Y) for it to be created?
And another of capacity W (W > Z) for the previous to be created?
And so on and so on, and so on...
Did I misunderstand your point of view?
No. If the "super intelligence" is completely self sufficient, then no need for a regress. That was what I was stating.

Agreed. Honestly, in this forum was the first time I've ever even such a thing suggested. Usually you hear the opposite in regard to "no infinite regress of finite causes." Now we're just looking at it in terms of "intelligence"

Yeah, I usually heard of it in terms of aliens seeding man on the Earth, LOL. There would be an infinite regress problem if aliens were our creator because they reside within the boundaries of the universe.

This thread is suppossed to about evidence for a deity.
Strange that the the god botherers can present any at all.
Why is it exactly that they fail to do so? ~Why is it that they keep on attempting to divert and distract?
It is almost as if they have none at all.
Without prompting, my kids figured it out, and I was careful not to lead. Even my ex has abandoned religion. It takes a special kind of nutty to maintain the delusion.
