I can say with absolute certainty as a person who used to try and get people to shoot their guns at people..that this is among the least likely outcomes of a ban or confiscation attempt. They would almost certainly seek to evade any such law or attempt by every other imaginable (and much easier) way to -avoid- shooting at people.

I wouldn't..because that would certainly end in my death and the confiscation of my guns from my cold dead hands. They just wouldn't find any guns when they came knocking. You shoot em in the back, when they're not looking, not in the front when they come a callin.

Totally agree with your last sentence. Everyone does, who has spent more than half of a second thinking about it. No one is going to go toe to toe with the US military. But an insurrection is nevertheless likely.

Truth is they don't want to admit that an object is far more important than life. 

Funny thing. Just now on Twitter, another gun worshiper was trying to downplay the amount of firearm deaths per year in America. They gave me a third party website of course, but who cares, according to them, it was only 38 firearm deaths per day, or an average of 14,000 firearm deaths per year.

OH SHIT, well that makes it all better. If 14,000 people died from food poisoning per year, not sure these same worshipers would say, " It's only 14,000".

If 14,000 Takata air bags failed ....... Oh wait, that recall happened only after a few reports.

Sorry, if your argument is "Leave the issue of gun deaths alone, because only 14,000 people die from them per year" sorry but your aiming low as far as standards.

I am proud to call myself a pussy. I may be blunt about just about everything. But the truth is, I do hate violence, and while it might be fun for contact sports, reality is far different.

I think the world would be far more peaceful if more humans were wimps and pussies. I think there would be far more peace in the world if humans would realize we are not that different, and we are far more fragile than we would like to believe.

Sure, but our general resistance to shooting at people doesn't work because we're level headed, and continues to work even when the level headed response would actually be to shoot people.  I've been conditioned to fire, but wouldn't.  The whole insurrection thing really is a fantasy.

Who are you kidding? I have had so many discussions with you about other things that people are getting killed over, and you didn't care because those things weren't your favorite hobbyhorses to ride. Your hysteria about gun violence is just a hobby to you. If it ain't guns or religion that people are dying over, you don't care.

How about taking away people's cars, Brian? Cars kill as many people as guns. If we take away half of the cars, we will probably reduce car related deaths by more than half. And we will have helped combat global warming at the same time.
