San Fran to expunge over 9000 cannabis convictions

Rewriting of the question : Expunged convictions will be destroyed or someone will still be able to access these for specific reasons like someone convicted who apply for some work like lawyer , judge , police officer etc... ?
Also , I want to know if criminal records will note if a person have an expunged conviction related to cannabis.

Here in the US, having your record expunged is usually just for the purpose of finding employment. If a crime is expunged, future employers will not be able to see a record of your crime in your background check. However, if you get into trouble and have to stand in front of a judge, FOR ANY REASON, that judge will CERTAINLY see that you were previously arrested for cannabis possession.

Expungement does nothing to wipe the record for the law enforcement/judicial systems.

It's mainly just for finding employment - having your record expunged helps you find a job because the crime won't show up in your background check, that's it.

I could describe the symptoms, but attempting to describe the actual experience is nearly impossible. I'm not sure I could give you any explanation or report that would do it justice. Best I could tell you is read up on psychedelics/meditation and ego death. Or, if you ever take a heroic dose of LSD, psilocybin or DMT, you'll learn for yourself.

I ask because it never panned out for me the way people describe it.  I'm not exactly what you'd call a stranger to psychedelics.  I've always been fascinated by stories of people who've had transformative experiences.

Take enough LSD and your perception will be utterly but temporarily.....altered. Unknown dosage being a thing, 4-8 hits of blotter acid has severely bent my reality. I can't explain it adequately either.

I always assume that the courts can see anything. So even if the laws are different now, there will still be some record or arrests/convictions available to law enforcement and the courts, I'm sure. Expungement doesn't really do anything, to be honest, except help you find work.

Psychedelics give you whatever you put into them. If your only intent when dropping acid is to laugh with your friends, listen to Led Zeppelin and look at the colors and patterns morphing on your carpet and walls, that's probably the experience you have, unless you've taken enough to rocket yourself past that point.

That being said, high doses are not necessary to have ego-weakening experiences. Complete ego-death is, however, usually found at higher doses.

I've found, after tripping many times over many years, I can now experience ego-death at much lower doses. It's sort of "opened the flood gates" I suppose.

Most LSD I ever took was 20+ hits at once time. I have no clue how many micrograms each hit was (anyone who claims to is probably full of it) but I know it was an insane experience.

Have you found that you can get effects, that usually happen from higher doses, on lower doses now that you've had that more intense experiences? Like I said to Gae I've found that high doses have sort of "opened the flood gates" for me and I can now have very intense, introspective meditation sessions on quite low doses of LSD and psilocybin.
