Not really

Lol shooters aren't cowards  sick yes but not cowards . They don't care if they die in fact most do it because they hope they will die , And no the presence of a gun won't deter them  they don't care ,And no they don't love gun free signs they do love lax gun laws.

Everybody's  gonna die anyway huh?

What a jackass remark.

So in your mind - there's no point in even calling the cops.

Jerkoff

Nope nice try

My point is the teacher will make zero difference everyone who's going to die is going to die . Nope still call the cops.

Jerkoff nah this  emoji better describes your relationship with the fantasy of "good guys " with guns

When SRO's start gunning down shooters with regularity, maybe we could talk about adding more armed people to a school. I'd just like to see the one work, first, before we go investing in knock-off units.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. If you have whacked out dope smoking kindergarten teachers - don't you think it might be a good idea to get rid of them?

If a teacher is incapable of learning how to handle a weapon - do you really want them handling kids minds?

Some people think police agencies train every day for this sort of thing. They do not. The Navy Seals and Delta Force do. Local and State law enforcement agencies do not have the money to train for this sort of thing - and a lion's share of the training they do receive is spent on group, not individual training. How to operate as a group - and not kill each other by friendly fire.

A teacher is by nature - going to have to go this sort of thing alone. They will have to rely on good common sense - and muscle memory training - just like a cop if forced to go it alone.

Any teacher can be taught the muscle memory- good sense - for cop or teacher - not so much.

Have you googled "teacher fires weapon in school" yet....?

Teach teachers whatever you like. Presumably, SROs get that training as well, and yet they don't have any effects. What's the working theory here, that there just aren't -enough- guns at school?

I'm starting to question my position on arming teachers.  Since they don't really have a lot to do, maybe they could double as security guards.  It isn't like they couldn't afford their own weapons and training, since we know how much teachers are vastly overpaid.

Also, it's plain that trying to teach 30 teenagers about algebra or the Treaty of Westphalia is clearly a low-stress occupation, so these unstressed, undistracted, low-key teachers are exactly who we might need in a live fire situation.

Gonna have to give this a serious rethink.

Time stamp 5:06 minutes in,

Teacher at a law enforcement school, COLLEGE,  Dr J Pete Blair. <----- But what the fuck would he know? He only trains cops to use firearms in stressful situations. AND he is saying the same damned thing Comey said this past week, there is a hell of a lot more to shooting a firearm than simply having no record.

And then there is this.... With even more COPS saying the fantasy the public worships about guns is not the reality they deal with every day.

^^^^^^ And none of the law enforcement mentioned in either video ever said they wanted to ban all firearms.

An SRO is a sworn and commissioned law enforcement officer, Biker.

It stops at schools.  Private businesses can make their own decisions about whether or what kind of security measures to implement.  Schools are a little different.

I am simply saying it would be far cheaper to simply get the makers to give a damned about where their products end up.

Every time someone dies from use of a firearm, that costs tax payers money in police response, ME exames, and a mental health cost to the survivors too. Even if you can afford health care, injuries from use of firearms drive up the cost to all of us.

Vetting at time of sale, waiting periods, and red flag laws would go a long way to reducing firearm violence. Instead of what we do now, and wait to react.

Even with simple business models, if you cut corners just for the sake of speed, instead of preparing before a rush, something will break down, and the quality of the product will suffer, and both the consumer and worker will get frustrated.

There is only one reason we have the firearm violence epidemic problem we do. The makers only care about profits, and keeping and expanding their market.

Metal detectors are cheaper than legislation, and you'd want the metal detectors even if you could afford the legislation, which you can't.
