Every " solution" the anti-gunners come up with will affect ALL gun owners - the majority of which are law abiding - and not the problem in the first place.

I think if I were President, I'd pose an ultimatum to the pro-gun crowd: figure it out. Come up with a plan that you guys think is fair. Let's implement it! Pass it! Give it all the funding it needs! Because all I see is rejection of ideas, no suggestions.

Target specific firearms based on trace data for increased regulations while instituting a buyback on all targeted firearms. De-militarize the vast majority of police forces and aggressively confront ethno-nationalist recruiting. Finally, increase access to routine mental health care while hardening our schools and public venues.

Require the problem children to have NO GUNS on their ID -- AND REQUIRE AN ID CHECK ON ALL SALES. Failure to comply is a felony.
