Christmas again!
December 1, 2019 at 12:09 pm
It's Christmas again, December 1st and I have had enough of it already!
I have spent most of the weekend putting up decorations (otherwise known as "Christmas tat" or "Dust collectors") It only seems a few weeks since I took them down last year (probably a sign of old age!) If it was up to me I wouldn't bother but I have been out voted by "She who must be obeyed" It has to be done this week as most of the rest of the month we will be away visiting family.
Still, only a few weeks until I can wear my "Bah Humbug" sweater and socks again!

One of the great joys of Christmas is going out with friends, getting “tipsy” and singing lewd versions of Christmas songs loudly and badly in public...
...yes, that was me in Sydney last year.
I saw mummy sucking Santa Claus...

Yeah, we (and by "we" I mean my wife and two sons) strung up some lights yesterday. All the rest of the decos got tossed last year due to age deterioration. My wife bought some new stuff, but it didn't light up so back to the store it went. We (and by "we" I mean my wife) will buy more decos on sale after xmas, I imagine. If it were up to me, there'd be no decos.

Ever since I broke an ornament in 2009, I'm not allowed to help with the decorating.
And I broke the ornament completely by accident. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I can only recall one of our house cats fussing with the tree, and he just liked to climb up in it and have a snooze - never bothered the ornaments or anything. Da would wire the tree to the wall to keep it from tipping over rather than bother the cat.

But only when they want to.
