Pam went to IGA today to buy spuds and a couple of other little things.
She looked for dunny paper (don't need any atm, but they were selling one large roll for 10 bucks!) No more 1/2 price specials at Coles or Wollies either... Arseholes taking advantage even though hundreds of thousands are broke....

Last week, they broke up the large 36 roll packs and were selling the normal size rolls (individually only) for $2.50ea.
I hate IGA but they're just down the road. (Pam said 4 cars in the car park and they still charge like wounded bulls.)

It's very boring but I'm just treating it as a meditative exercise  My sister, her boyfriend, and his young son... who don't live anywhere near me... have all had it though, and recovered pretty quickly from it, so I have mixed feelings about it really.... a mixture of fear and wanting to get it just to get it out of the way in solidarity with my sister. But I'm not going to tempt fate, for my sake or my parents who I live with, so I will be strictly abiding by this lockdown to the letter, for as long as it takes. |
