You want dictators, religious zealots, monsters, heroes, or aliens?
Yes. Start with an erupting volcano and work up to shattering climax.

Bored enough to do some extra credit college assignments in a subject I do not like

Edit: It's not two minutes after this OP and I'm listening to Down by Jay Sean and spinning around in an empty dark living room with the tabs for the assignment closed. I also forgot how to spell assignment for a minute and needed autocorrect for that. Fuck coronavirus

Don't study trigonometry or stoichiometry (like I did) whatever you do! Or you'll end up flippin' burgers! Study something useful and practical. (Unless you want to be an astronaut)

I'm an undead avian specimen. I don't think the words useful and practical apply.

Any time I meet someone who tells me they're studying maths or acting, I have the same reply:  'Just an espresso to go, please.'

Although I haven't been going out much for over a month, I've been living a mostly reclusive life ever since I retired in 2001. For now, I'm doing my spring cleaning and catching up on my reading. There's always something to do. I'm considering getting back to writing Middle Earth fan fiction.

Please write a story where Tom Bombadil and Gandalf debate whether Tom should keep the Ring.

It would have to be a meeting that took place after the War of the Ring, since Gandalf was at or near Isengard at the time Frodo brought the One ring to Bombadil's house. Near the end of The Return of the King Gandalf expressed a desire to visit Bombadil, although I can't recall the reason for such a visit. However, it might have entailed a discussion on why the One Ring was not left in the woodsman's care and what eventually became of it. I will seriously consider your request.  Great

Not bored Between job and family, but with the whining of the wife that's been at home with Sofia. I keep myself busy anyway. And I work at essential services, bacon is one of them and we have been rolling out bacon like the world was going to end or something.

You could have it happen before Isengard. Just have Big G come by Tom's place and warn him to watch out for the little buggers. The possibility of Tom keeping the ring comes up then. Not trying to drive, just being a back-seater. Popcorn

Bored? I'm going in search of a beer I haven't tasted since 1976. The hunt is ON!!!
