Then people would become dangerously creative - if you know what I mean. Like, for that kind of money, people would have sex with gorillas and then dupe their progeny as bigfoots.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

The professor of Bible, Christianity, and other delusions, explains that angels really exist among us

Quote:The Bible expert believes one such divine intercession occurred in the 19th century during a mission of the Protestant missionary John Gibson Paton (1824 to 1907) to the New Hebrides in the South Pacific Ocean.

The account is described in the book Angels: God’s Secret Agents, penned by the American evangelist Billy Graham.

As the story goes, a group of hostile natives attacked Reverand Paton's mission headquarters one night only to be staved off by a host of angelic beings.
Reverand Paton and his wife Mary first visited the New Hebrides in November 1858 where they built a house at Port Resolution on the island of Tanna.

Professor Meyer explained: "One fateful night, hostile natives surrounded his mission headquarters, intent on smoking the Paton’s out of their house and then killing them.

"John Paton and his wife prayed all during that terror-filled night that God would miraculously deliver them.
"When daylight finally came, they were amazed to see that the attackers had unaccountably left them alone."

A year after the incident, the tribe that perpetrated the is said to have converted to Christianity.

Reverand Paton then confronted the tribe's chief to find out why they had never burned down his house.

Much to his surprise, the chief said the house was surrounded by hundreds of men in "shimmering garments" and with their swords drawn.

Professor Meyer said: "They seemed to circle the mission station so that the natives were afraid to attack. Only then did Mr.

"Paton realize that God had sent His angels to protect them.
"The chief agreed that there could be no other explanation."

This not only proves that angels exist but also that Christianity is the right religion because during the last two thousand years, Christians burned hundreds of Jewish houses with Jews locked inside, and angels never helped them no matter how much they prayed.

One commenter posted "When he dies and they CGI him how will we know whether he's alive or dead. Actually that's probably what they'll do with the queen." Another replied to that with "How do we know that hasn't already happened.  This freak show is out of hand." in which the response was "They’ve been doing it with the Queen lol. She’s been dead for ages".

Reminds me of this when people were talking about the Pope being a hologram.

I wonder how these miracles explain the notation in the family bible of someone I know about a missionary ancestor who disappeared on the east cape of NZ.

It simply reads, "Believed eaten by natives."
