Are you at all concerned with what some might see as hitching your religious beliefs to extraneous falsehoods, Kloro?
If you tell us, for example that any serious religious person has to believe z, what would that mean for the belief and the believer...if z weren’t true?

Smart people can and do have dumb ideas. Newton, anbexamlke you mentioned earlier, made this obvious at multiple points in his life / but were not exactly in the company of Newton or Godel with you, or the incompetence of these arguments.

I am not arguing from authority. I am not saying the belief is true because intelligent people endorsed it. But to say that any theist is a moron...... this is just outright insulting. But I guess we can't expect more from no one....

Of course they do. But the idea of God is definitely not dumb. Virtually all famous names in philosophy/physics/mathematics had something to say about God. Some of them considered their religion to be a primary motive of their scientific work, like Newton or Abdus Salam.
