Yes, and?
Ok, so we both agree. So the issue should not be about danger, but attitude about that danger and ignoring the danger.
ATTITUDE, is the issue. Yes, there are dangers in life. But humans far too often have selection bias and sample rate error, on top of fear of being wrong.
If JFK depended on the "no rules" mindset of the NRA as a blueprint for the Apollo program, America would not have been the first to the moon. The Apollo 13 team would have died.
Even with aviation and space flight, there is no comparison between the accidents in space travel vs the amount of daily firearm deaths every day.
Sully would not have successfully landed the plane on the Hudson, if he had the bullshit attitude of MTG or Laura Boebert.
Yes, we agree. I was attempting to give you a lesson on the value of brevity.

Anyone ever see Se7en?
I'm beginning to think that maybe "someone" is just using John Doe's ramblings as conversation starters.

Some people just can’t handle agreement, lol.
I certainly got complacent with the mortars- complacent may not even be the word- I was seeing how fast I could ripple fire for the amusement of children and neighbors...so...ofc one of them fouled. Hence the recessed block emplacements.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

This has to do with ANY excess having to do with having a false sense of security when doing anything or handling a dangerous item.
This weekend a former NHL player was killed by fireworks. Every 4th of July there are stories of people who get injured or die or cause needless fires because they think they know what they are doing. The same can be said with drinking and driving. Humans far to often stupidly think that just because nothing happened for a period of time, nothing bad will happen ever.
I see fireworks no different than guns, or driving. All of those things require knowledge, education, and a healthy respect that you cannot treat them like toys.
https://edition.cnn.com/2021/07/05/sport...index.html you are right.. i would like to point out those of us lucky to have an alpha father get t his education between the ages of 7 and 10... not that we are certified professionals at that age, but can responsibly handel and discharge both at that age under supervision, which is why 'we' or our forefathers were ready to fight wars at 14
the rest of you should be highly regulated and restricted if at all allowed to purchase either. nothing more dangerous than a beta male with something to prove. So i agree with you, as i am sure you are speaking for the same type of person you are, and i feel your intentions here are to help soceity regulate people like yourself.
In fact i think all "dims" laws, taxes legislation, restrictions ect should only apply to 'dim' people. Because they know how to administrate and represent that segment of the population far better than any Rep could. we would give incompetent people far too much or many freedoms which ultimately results in mass shooters and the like (as most are dims who do mass shootings)
So nice to see we can agree on somethings.

Underage people fighting in wars have happened in our species history worldwide forever. That doesn't make it good or right. We are not living in 1776. It is 2021. Be it home gun violence, street gun violence, or war, PTSD isn't something that just affects veterans of war, and it can have an even worse devastating effect on youth.
And if you truly think someone like me should not own a firearm, I agree, I should not. Problem is the way our laws are now, since I have no violent felony record, I can legally go out right now as you read this, and buy any firearm I wish. But you can't "regulate" people on the issue of firearms merely because you don't like their politics. There is no religious or political party oath required to own a firearm.
FYI, when you say "dim" what you mean are sane people because we think and you need a bullshit slur to vilify us.
Incompetence isn't accepting limitations. Incompetence is saying "hold my beer" stupidly thinking you can handle something and stupidly think nothing bad will happen. Sane gun owners don't worship their firearms, and they treat them as deadly at all times.

Underage people fighting in wars have happened in our species history worldwide forever. That doesn't make it good or right. why does it have to be good or right? not everything has a moral component to it. for example handling guns and explosives is a skill, one you yourself point out needs to be learned before handling either. And all i did was point out for a segment of the community based on nothing more than tradition that by a very young age this skill set is taught and even mastered to the point that a child can be competent enough and history has proven this out goto and help win wars.

PTSD is not the subject of discussion here. it is the safe use of fire arms and fireworks.
Quote:And if you truly think someone like me should not own a firearm, I agree, I should not.
not just you but anyone who subscribes to the way you think you and others should be regulated. as you guys know your limits and the rest of us should take note and help you full fill your wishes.
as for those who want to and are eligible to own a firearm should have access to anything the government has access to limited by their budget.

actually you cant. i'm pretty sure you are a pot smoker, which is also a disqualifying factor. or if i as a gun shop owner even get a bad vibe.. like if youre some emo kid who looks like he gets beat up too much, or if i think you look like a gang member or drug dealer, or if you look/sound like a nut case.. really any reason i deem you unfit, you can't purchase shite. and if you are really giving me the geebe geebys i can have you flagged with the ATF. the idea being if you leave my store and go to another when you get your back ground your file will be reviewed.
Quote: But you can't "regulate" people on the issue of firearms merely because you don't like their politics.
sweetheart it does not matter what the left is telling about civil rights and how lax the gun laws are, because when it comes to gun purchases as a legit dealer we are told by the ATF in our final set up interview, all final sales are up to our digression. Even if i get a funny feeling or if i don't like any part of your dress demeanor, i can refuse to sell you a gun.
Quote:There is no religious or political party oath required to own a firearm.
lol.. that is another discussion. but let say i personally believe/experienced that the only reason democrats have access to fire arms is because a rep gun store owner/or cooperate box store has made them freely available due to their belief in the 2nd A.
(to which most box stores are pulling dim hated firearms) which is good for the little gun stores.

its just a play on words sport. i am agreeing with you here. no need to vilify.

i agree. you as a dim seem to be speaking as the party speaks, and i have discerned you are speaking to your known limitations and need for regulation. which is why i said all people who think this way should have their limitations vetted and respected. if you/all dims think guns are dangerous and we should not have them, then i think all dems should not be allowed to have or purchase firearms.

Political caste systems determining who can or can’t have a gun? Sounds legit. Very much 2a.

You must mistake me for someone who gives a fuck.
Knowing firearms are dangerous IS HOW EVERYONE SHOULD VIEW THEM, BECAUSE THEY FUCKING ARE!
Problem is just like drinking and driving and fireworks, idiots get complacent.
Again, there is no political party or religious oath required to purchase or own a firearm. So if you agree I should not be allowed to own a firearm, by today's laws you could not stop me.
FYI, after WW1 the allies, including America, after defeating Germany in WW1 put heavy restrictions on civilian firearm ownership. It was Hitler who relaxed civilian firearm ownership, but for party loyalists only. So by your own post above, what you are arguing is that only party loyalists whom agree with you should be allowed to own firearms.
