He's not defending republicans, he's claiming rights abrogation as an appeal to hypocrisy - in the case of texas legislators who fail to possess the votes required to pass a law. Which is just silly

No Julia - it isn' t.
Oh look, OLB defending Republicans yet again. Almost like he's one himself. He'll say he isn't, but that's nothing but gaslighting to try to make himself seem reasonable.
Just becaus you have this myopic world view of " us vs them" doesn't mean that is how the world is.

Not in mere reality. We can grant that all sorts of ratfuckery and grift is going on across the aisle - however, voter suppression is the gops brand.
They seem to believe that they have a right to rule the country even if people don't want them to, and they know that they win when people don't vote. It's a practical solution. Their current existential dilemma, in mere reality and even in their own delusions, centering on the attempt by democrats to replace them with more people voting.
This is the difference between enfranchisement and disenfranchisement, in case that needed to be explained.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Lol, cynic you think both Dems and Republicans are the same is calling someone else's view myopic. That's weapons-grade irony.

The Dems no matter how you look at it are the lesser of two evils and any attempt to say otherwise is simply a delusion.

@onlinebiker I said jaded, but I may be giving you more credit than you deserve. You may actually not be able to tell the difference. Well, I just don't feel like explaining it. I'm pretty sure a 1st grader would know the diff.
And there' s the bullshit...
You never fail to deliver.
And here's OLB's bullshit...
He never fails to deliver.
Something for you to think about while you're not thinking. Let's say Texas and many other state get away with their plans to disenfranchise non-Republican voters. At the very best it means Republicans could build a permanent majority of lawmakers, making our government functionally a one-party system. For someone who says he loathes the current two-party system, would you prefer an all-GOP government? You voting or not won't matter, btw.
I don't expect an intelligent answer, just more belligerence.
Why is it so?

I'm not sure where these quotes came from, but I would love to see some evidence, statements, anything to support this argument. We currently have one party seeking to outright disenfranchise millions of legal, valid voters and another party seeking to stop that from happening. This isn't 1968; there are no Dixiecrats and all of the racist bastards belong to the GOP. Show me something that supports this argument or just shut the fuck up about it.
The question isn't whether Democrats are "better" than Republicans. We have outvoted them in several elections and yet still lost. We did outvote them in 2020. We simply seek to have valid votes count. If and when the tables are turned and Democrats start passing laws intended to disenfranchise Republicans, I'll start calling them out on it.
Why is it so?

Now there is the bullshit once again.
Voting is voting.. When an individual votes for a representative - it is exactly the same when the representative casts a vote at the behest of the individual voter.
No? ( if not - we can do away with representative government)
So your heros running away to STOP A VOTE from being held is VOTER SUPRESSION.
In fact - lets call it an INSURRECTION.
You are bullshitting yourself if you try arguing otherwise.
